A BEAUTIFUL DAY IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD
Janet's TAKE: #ABeautifulDayMovie was not the biopic I was expecting but more of a study on how Mr. Rogers helped a troubled journalist find his peace. Grade/A
Tom Hanks nailed his performance
as Fred Rogers so well that, at times, I forgot I was not watching the real person. His calming tone and neighborly feeling were perfectly executed and really portrayed the legacy of the Mr. Rogers we all knew and loved.
Directed by Marielle Heller
Starring Tom Hanks, Christine Lahti, Matthew Rhys,Susan Kelechi Watson and Chris Cooper
