Janet's TAKE: #IsleOfDogsMovie is an interesting stop-motion animated feature for adults. Grade/B
The subject matter is more quirky than FANTASTIC MR. FOX but it definitely has a positive message. Half the fun is in picking out the
famous voices, including Yoko Ono!

Directed by Wes Anderson (FANTASTIC MR. FOX) and featuring the voices of F. Murray Abraham, Bryan Cranston, Greta Gerwig, Jeff Goldblum, Scarlett Johansson, Harvey Keitel, Frances McDormand, Bill Murray, Ken Watanabe, Edward Norton, Fisher Stevens, Tilda Swinton, and Courtney B. Vance. ISLE OF DOGS tells the story of Atari Kobayashi, 12-year-old ward to corrupt Mayor Kobayashi. When, by Executive Decree, all the canine pets of Megasaki City are exiled to a vast garbage-dump called Trash Island, Atari sets off alone in a miniature Junior-Turbo Prop and flies across the river in search of his bodyguard-dog, Spots. There, with the assistance of a pack of newly-found mongrel friends, he begins an epic journey that will decide the fate and future of the entire Prefecture. - Fox Searchlight
