supported by Richard Jenkins, Michael Shannon and Octavia Spencer.

Synopsis:
From master story teller, Guillermo del Toro, comes THE SHAPE OF WATER - an other-worldly fairy tale, set against the backdrop of Cold War era America circa 1962. In the hidden high-security government laboratory where she works, lonely Elisa (Sally Hawkins) is trapped in a life of isolation. Elisa’s life is changed forever when she and co-worker Zelda (Octavia Spencer) discover a secret classified experiment. Rounding out the cast are Michael Shannon, Richard Jenkins, Michael Stuhlbarg and Doug Jones. -Fox Searchlight

Janet's TAKE: #2heartsthefilm depicts a based-on-a-true story in an unimaginative and formulaic way. While the effort is commendable in its message of sacrifice and service, it is entirely predictable. The main character (narrator) tries too hard to be charming and this feels forced. Janet's TAKE: Even though #Nomadland is a sad commentary on the effects of the recession in the last decade, it still brings an uplifting message of camaraderie, support and friendship for the nomadic lifestyle that exists in America today. Grade/A- Frances McDormand and David Strathairn expertly portray their characters alongside Chloé Zhao's portraiture-style direction that includes professional actors working with real people playing themselves and telling their stories. Janet's TAKE: #BrokenHeartsGallery is a sweet and mostly engaging twenty-something romantic comedy.  You know exactly where it's going, but getting there with talented star Geraldine Viswanathan is the best part of this journey.  An optimistic date movie that is just what's needed today. The supporting cast is perfect for this genre and it's nice to see Bernadette Peters back on the screen.
